Andrew Hopf M.Sc. CSCS- President
Andrew attended the University of Waterloo and obtained both a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology (2007) and a Master’s of Science degree in Exercise Physiology (2009). During his Master’s program, Andrew founded Next Level Performance Training and quickly established himself as one of the region’s premier strength and conditioning coaches of young athletes. Since that time he has grown NLPT into the region’s top performance enhancement and athletic development companies, helping athletes of all ages, sports, and ability levels optimize their health and performance.
Andrew is also a highly sought after speaker on the topics of nutrition and performance enhancement. He is a regularly travels all over Ontario speaking at major OHF and OHL events, spreading the message of proper nutrition and preparation habits.
He is currently the Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Waterloo, and the Development Strength and Conditioning Coach with the St Louis Blues, a position where he was part of the Stanley Cup Championship in 2019

Michelle Miguel B.Sc. RMT- Co-owner/Director of Therapy
Michelle graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and later completed the Massage Therapy Program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. She has been with NLPT, behind the scenes, since its beginning in 2008 and started NLPT Massage Therapy in 2011.
Michelle believes in providing a holistic and well-rounded treatment approach. For the past 5 years, Michelle has strived to achieve experience in many different fields of massage therapy, which includes attending courses, volunteering at various sport events and staying current with the latest research. She has worked in both clinic and sport settings, finding a passion in sport specific massage therapy and its applicability towards the general public. She has a multitude of experience working with athletic injuries as well as helping maintain the soft tissue health of athletes in various sports such as baseball, hockey, soccer, cheerleading, downhill skiing and more.

Jordan comes to NLPT with over 4 years experience in the Varsity S&C setting at the University of Waterloo. Jordan being a National Sports Performance Association Certified Coach brings a wealth of educational and experiential knowledge to his leadership role and oversight of all things Strength and Conditioning here at NLPT
Zach Bint- Strength and Conditioning Coach
Zach is going into his 3rd year at Brock University for Bachelors of Physical Education (honours) and Bachelors of Education. He is currently interning with the Brock varsity wrestling team as a strength and conditioning coach. He has past experience coaching with youth soccer and hockey and played competitive sports throughout his life. He trained with us for many year and is now switching over to coaching. Zach wants to help guide these young athletes along their journey to success.
Nikki Ottaway M.Sc. R.Kin
Nikki is excited to join the NLPT team as a Registered Kinesiologist, and provide exercise programming to pregnant and postpartum women. Nikki received her Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University in 2009 and went on to get her Master of Science from the University of Guelph in 2014. Just a month after graduating from her graduate program, Nikki embarked on her education in motherhood with the birth of her first child. Learning became more intensive as she welcomed two more children shortly thereafter. Through this never-ending season of motherhood, Nikki has been continuing to grow by taking various courses on pelvic health, diastasis recti and other women's health considerations in efforts to understand the many challenges and obstacles women face in pursuing and maintaining health and fitness while caring for their family. She strongly believes that participation in exercise can bridge the gap over many barriers to health, fitness and function for women in the various stages of motherhood. She is thrilled to return to practice and follow her passion for providing support, education and training to women who long to pursue strength, resilience and good health.
In her free time, Nikki enjoys eating donuts, interior design, running, hiking with her family and teaching her girls to cheer for the Chicago Blackhawks, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Toronto Raptors; no more, no less.
Terri Weeks M.Sc Candidate CSCS
Terri obtained her Bachelors in Kinesiology and Minor in Psychology from Brock University (2019). While at Brock she was a varsity athlete and interned at the Brock Sports Performance Center where she was the student S&C coach for the women’s varsity basketball team, and varsity fencing teams. Terri is currently completing her master’s degree at the University of Waterloo specializing in biomechanics under the supervision of Stacey Acker. In her free time Terri enjoys, painting, camping and paddling whilst also pursuing excellence in the sport of curling where she continues to successfully complete both nationally and internationally. Terri is passionate about training the whole person and understands what it takes to reach athletic excellence, her goal is to maximize each individuals athletic potential, physical literacy and ingrain in each athlete a love for movement and sport.
Sydney Mannell
Sydney graduated from the Kinesiology program at UW with Honours in 2019 with a focus in Rehabilitative Sciences, and recently graduated with a Masters of Science in Kinesiology in August of 2020 from UW. As part of the Master’s program, she interned with the UW varsity athletes as well as NLPT in the summer of 2020 to gain more experience working with higher level athletes and youth. During the internship, Sydney became certified as a Strength of Conditioning Coach through the NSPA. She is currently attending the Sutherland Chan School of Massage Therapy, with plans to graduate in late 2021. In her free time, Sydney enjoys Muay Thai, horseback riding, and running.

Shawn Wilson-Lockwood M.Sc
Shawn attended Wilfrid Laurier University and obtained an Honours Bachelors of Kinesiology degree (2020) followed by a Master’s degree in Professional Kinesiology from Brock University (2021). During his Master’s degree, he was able to gain experience working as an Intern strength and conditioning coach with Brock Sports Performance. Shawn was able to gain valuable coaching skills while working with the Brock Wrestling, Men’s Basketball and Women’s Volleyball teams. Growing up, Shawn always had a fascination with sports and has previous athletic experience as a baseball, basketball and hockey player. He has experienced the effects that athletic training can have on confidence and athletic abilities and looks forward to helping other young athletes develop speed, strength, and power to improve their athletic performance. When Shawn is not in school or completing internships, he enjoys listening to health and fitness podcasts, spending time with friends and family, hiking and fishing, as well as watching sports. His favorite sports teams are the Toronto Maple Leafs, Raptors and Blue Jays.
